AMBRONA – Evil Scientist

AMBRONA – Evil Scientist

Ambrona wasn't always evil.

Ambrona wasn’t always evil.

Ambrona is the main villain of Guardians Evolution.  He is a megalomaniac who seeks to dominate the new Earth, so he can build a civilization that acknowledges only him as its supreme leader.  He is cold, calculating, and utterly ruthless.

But Ambrona was not always this way.  As a young man, he was a brilliant researcher who astounded the scientific world with his ambition and his discoveries.  While most scientists excel in one field, Ambrona excelled in two:  he was a physicist and a geneticist!  And he was responsible for groundbreaking discoveries in both fields.

Unfortunately, Ambrona’s weakness was his ego.  While he became somewhat of an international celebrity, his scientific peers started to become concerned about some of his research.  Ambrona was secretly engaging in controversial and unethical experiments.

Ambrona was eventually condemned by Dr. Eric Afron and banished from the world of science.  But Ambrona sold his talents to various dictators around the world.  While he helped fuel their empires with dangerous weapons and energy sources that threatened the stability of the environment, they helped bankroll his unethical research.

Ambrona faked his way into the Guardians program so he could enact his own evil plan.

Ambrona relies on Danton to enact his evil plans.

When Ambrona discovered that Dr. Afron had created Project Guardian, he figured out a way to infiltrate the program.  He disguised himself as a good scientist and managed to get accepted as a Guardian.  When the Extinction Event of 2078 arrived, Ambrona was frozen, along with the other Guardians.  But he planted a subroutine in his bunker’s computer that would cause him to be released before any of the other Guardians.  Upon release, he planned to destroy all the other Guardians, create an army of robotic followers, and rule the Earth himself.

Fortunately, only part of his plan has manifested so far.  He was released before all the other Guardians, but only his mind was released.  His body, however, remained in a state of paralysis within the cryo-chamber.  Confined to his zero gravity bunker orbiting the Earth, Ambrona has to rely on Danton and his Sentry Guards to physically carry out his demands.

Another thing Ambrona wasn’t ready for was the fact that Arimus and his four friends were released early too.  Now, it’s a race between Ambrona and our five teen heroes to find the remaining ten bunkers.  Arimus and his team want to free the remaining Guardians, while Ambrona wants to destroy them.

In order to save the human race, Dr. Afron built the robotic mentors like Chum to work alongside the humans to rebuild civilization after the earth repairs itself and is livable again in the future.

The Story of Guardians Evolution

In the year 2078, life as we know it ceased to exist.

In 2078 the Guardians were cryogenically frozen in 12 high-tech underground bunkers.

As scientists predicted, global warming reached a critical point.  And after decades of deforestation, oil dependency, and rampant pollution, nature struck back!  It unleashed hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, in what became known as the Great Extinction Event.  Civilization was completely destroyed!

Or so Mother Nature thought…

A small group of progressive scientists had anticipated the crisis.  They worked secretly to create Project Guardian.  They handpicked twelve hundred humans, dubbed GUARDIANS, whom they cryogenically froze in twelve high-tech, underground bunkers around the planet.

The Guardians were programmed to be released after the Great Extinction Event and only when the Earths surface conditions were favorable.  And their mission was to use their combined skills to rebuild society.  Like the monks during the Dark Ages, they carried the torch of knowledge and hoped to spark a new Era of Enlightenment.

Unfortunately, the bunkers malfunctioned and only released a handful of Guardians – five young teenagers – who are the heroes of our show.  The kids are released forty-one million years in the future!

Our five Guardians are flung into an Avatar-like world they no longer recognize.  Forty-one million years of evolution have practically terra-formed the Earth and turned it into a primeval wilderness.  Jungles with thousand-foot tall trees carpet the planet; mountains and volcanoes have thrust up from the Earth’s mantle and now dwarf Mount Everest and the continental plates have shifted, smashing Africa into Europe and Asia.

Earth has re-evolved into a teeming primeval world.

The jungles and oceans teem with strange and exotic life forms, from tiny insects to gigantic, dinosaur-like beasts.

The Guardians, led by the brave, fifteen-year old ARIMUS, are a group of teens with skills and personalities that complement and contrast with one another.  They are forced to become fast friends, whether they like it or not, because their survival – and the survival of civilization – depends on it.  Along with their robotic mentor, CHUM, they must locate the other bunkers and unfreeze the remaining Guardians, so they can begin the reconstruction of civilization together.

The only problem? One other Guardian was randomly released before our heroes.  AMBRONA, an evil scientist, faked his way into being accepted as a Guardian.  His master plan was to release himself prematurely, so that he could destroy the other Guardians, and rebuild his own, much more corrupt civilization, in the future.  Fortunately, Arimus and his team have no intention of letting Ambrona and his small army of robots get away with that.

Guardians: Evolution is a high-concept, stop-motion, animated show targeted at boys aged 6-9.  It offers high-octane action; sharp, witty characters;  just the right amount of comedy;  and a fresh take on the post-apocalyptic genre, with its ingrained themes of humanism and environmentalism.

A cautionary tale, Guardians: Evolution depicts the adventures of a group of idealistic teens, as they strive to rebuild civilization and usher in a new era of Enlightenment.

Can these five talented teens work together to survive and save life on future Earth?
